i figured i owe you guys a blog by now...sorry i've not been able to, considering what's going on, things have been kind of busy...my time is consumed...but right now Sherri is asleep, and i'm not tired, so yeah...i've got time...
i don't know where to begin, really, so i guess i'll blog chronilogically...
so wednesday was stressful...i had to work a morning shift, which always sucks, but it was also when i was going to pick up Sherri from the airport...luckily i worked, and didn't have the day off...it kept my mind occupied...and luckily i had to train someone, that helped make sure my mind was occupied...i sold four cards in a matter of a few hours and Charles said 'that's it, you're working morning shifts from now on'...no fucking way! 
so i was to get off work at five to pick up Caleb from daycare and Jonathan came into work at four and pitched a hissy-fit (which he's notorious for) with Charles...this was only a problem because no one knew how to close cafe, so i was going to give a crash-course to Erin for the last hour i was at work, but couldn't because Jonathan was bitching while he should have been taking over my register...that really pissed me off...
but they let me go on time and i picked Caleb up...a hyperactive child that doesn't listen mixed with being tired from only a few hours sleep mixed with the knowledge that i was about to pick up Sherri really made for a stressful time as well...
then it was time...Sherri didn't want me to be in the airport when she arrived, she wanted time to change and get her bags first...so i sat in the car chain-smoking for about thirty minutes before she called to say i was allowed to come in (she cracks me up)...so i walk in...i didn't see her...then i started up the stairs and i saw her dumb-ass see me and duck really fast...so i had this huge grin on my face as i continued up the stairs only to see her once again dawned in sunglasses...yes sunglasses at nine in the evening...we gave a sort of half hug and then she told me i couldn't look at her for a while...the whole time i had a huge grin, because she's just that silly...i grabbed her bags and we headed to the car...
on her seat was a cooler with some Coca-Cola and a huge bottle of Jack Daniels...i know she likes it and i figured it might help calm her nerves...i also burned her a Morrissey CD for the ride home, to further calm her nerves as she loves him so fucking much...she sang, and danced and yelled out the window the whole ride home...she kept saying to herself, 'what am i doing here? i'm so confused'...it was cute...
she didn't want to go home just yet, just wanted to ride around for a bit...it's understandable...she was afraid my mom would be awake and didn't want to have to worry about meeting her as well, not just yet...
keep in mind, she still had the sunglasses on...she wore those sunglasses for two days straight, with a hoodie, to hide from me...saying i couldn't look at her...she was worried she looked 'a straight mess' and i kept telling her she didn't, but yeah...she's nuts...
when we finally got home, she walked in my room to find a fuck-ton of snacks (that i know she likes) placed right under a huge Justin Timberlake poster...(i had fun shopping for her)...i let her have my bed, i took the couch...well first, she wanted me to lay down next to her...so i laid down for a few hours then when she was asleep, i moved to the couch...bad idea...i'm too old for that shit...i decided after that that i would just share my bed with her and hope to god my mother didn't think we were up to anything...we're not...i just love the comfort of my bed...and it's kind of nice sleeping next to someone...
the next day we drove to Mobile and she loved the trees...absolutely loved them...we stopped by my school because i really had no idea where to take her and we found this lake type thing there with a bridge...so we stopped and started walking across when we saw a little turtle that she absolutely wanted to catch...so i checked my trunk for something to catch it with but by the time i got back, the turtle moved...(we later went to Wal-Mart to by a net...we will catch a turtle)
i had to pick up my nephew once again, so we headed back to Daphne, i dropped her off at the house, and picked up Caleb...the first thing he said to me was, 'where's your friend?'...the second he walked in the door he went into my room and introduced himself, even shook her hand...i dont know where he learned that, but he did that all on his own...luckily Sherri loves kids and thinks Caleb is absolutely adorable...later that evening he wanted her to read some books to him...
then came the fated meeting of the mom...Sherri was so nervous about that...but she finally did, and now they're comfortable with each other...they really get along well...which helps becaues i've not been able to get time off work...so while i'm at work, i let Sherri take the car in case she needs to get out of the house or anything, but she hangs out with my mom...it's cute...she'll come see me on my lunch break and it's just nice...
oh yeah! i took her out to lunch at a Japanese restaraunt and a Mexican restaraunt and she really enjoyed both...she's picky about food, not about what she'll eat, but quailty, so i was kind of scared, but so far she's liked everything...and it's been so much fun...
i've taken her to Fairhope pier...she really enjoyed that as well...on the way back from the pier, it was early in the morning, we saw a field and decided to stop and i got a blanket from the trunk and we just laid down out in the field...then we got Starbucks (shhh...don't tell anyone) and came home and went to sleep...
i'm telling you, it's been so nice...and i know there's more that we've done and had fun with but i'm getting tired and details are failing me now...
we did have two big fights...i'm on my period, and while it's not an excuse, it doesn't help my emotional state by any means, hence, two big fights...but we let it go...
while i was at work yesterday/today/whatever...she stayed home and cleaned my room...i'm talking CLEANED my room...she also rearranged it a bit to make it a bit more comfortable...and she had me close my eyes before i could see it...when she turned on the light my jaw dropped...it's gorgeous...not only that, she bought me 'happy birthday' banners and balloons (as it is my birthday) and i was just...it was/is amazing...she had a candle burning that smelled so good...everything was actually really clean...and she's just...she can be really amazing...she even organized her snacks (she's so OCD, but it's cute)...it's just...so fucking cute! so clean! so amazing! by far the best birthday ever...
i'm glad she's here...so glad...despite the fights, and some of the unresolved issues...i'm glad she's here...i know she'll have to leave, but i already know it will be really really hard to see her go...i can't think about that right now, i just can't...
i have the next two days off, i'll work a few more days then have about five days off to just chill with her...do whatever...have fun...i'm so fucking excited! but now i need sleep...sorry this was so long...i'll try to update more frequently...
